 When life gets tough and troubles linger,

And those around you lose their finger

On what it means to spread some joy,

Don't let their sadness be your ploy.

For when they try to make you sad,

Don't let their negativity add,

But instead, show them a smiling face,

And watch as their frowns start to erase.

And if they attempt to make you cry,

Don't let their words pierce and pry,

Instead, make them laugh and see,

How powerful your positive energy can be.

And even when they hate and despise,

Show them love and watch it rise,

For every ounce of hate they send,

Send back love, let that be your trend.

For you are a force, strong and true,

With a power that will see you through,

And a higher power watches over you,

Protecting your energy, pure and true.

But in this easy life we all lead,

We often worry about what we may need,

And forget to appreciate what we possess,

Until it's gone, and we're left with emptiness.

So let us all remember to cherish,

All the things that make us flourish,

And spread love and joy wherever we go,

For it will come back, that much I know.
