Light it Bright

 The day I want to give up,

And let my dreams slip away,

A voice inside me whispers,

"Don't let your light fade away."

It reminds me of other souls,

Who yearn to hear my voice,

To hear my advice and guidance,

To help them through life's noise.

This thought makes me feel strong,

And fills me with amazing grace,

For I am not alone in this journey,

I have a purpose, a special place.

The darkness that once engulfed me,

Is now illuminated by my light,

As I remember that I am needed,

To guide others towards what's right.

And then the voice speaks again,

"Do you want to heal and grow?"

With a new sense of determination,

I spread my wings and let my spirit flow.

In the darkness, I see my reflection,

And realize I'm stronger than I thought,

For the voice that reminded me of my worth,

Is my own, calling out from the heart.

Thank you, dear voice, for saving me,

For showing me my true worth,

For helping me spread my wings,

And fly high above this earth.

No longer do I want to give up,

For I have a purpose to fulfill,

And with the voice as my guide,

I know I always will.
